Tell us in three sentences who you are

UnvAil is a multi-modality AI assistance system for radiology that combines imaging, clinical reports and laboratory values to enable more accurate diagnoses. Our AI helps radiologists work faster and more efficiently by recognising abnormalities and interpreting findings in a clinical context. UnvAil 2024 was founded with the aim of fundamentally improving radiology through intelligent AI support.

How did you come up with the idea for your AI startup?

While working in the radiology and healthcare tech industry, we saw how overworked radiologists are and how difficult it is to link all relevant patient data. AI can not only perform image analyses, but also enable multimodal diagnoses – that was our motivation for UnvAil.

What are the biggest challenges of using AI in radiology?

The biggest challenges are medical validation, regulatory approval and acceptance in everyday clinical practice. AI must be reliable, explainable and seamlessly integrated into existing systems so that radiologists can recognise and use it as a real support.

Do you see further potential uses for AI in radiology?

Yes, in addition to diagnostic support, AI can also be used to document findings, triage emergencies and monitor patients over the long term. Combining imaging with clinical data opens up completely new possibilities for recognising diseases earlier and more precisely.

What makes your startup unique?

UnvAil goes beyond traditional image analysis and uses a multimodal AI that combines radiological images with clinical context. While many solutions only cover specific diseases or modalities, we offer holistic assistance that automates workflows and alerts radiologists to relevant abnormalities.
