Brazilian Delegation Explores AI Innovation at hessian.AI

The delegation from the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI) visited hessian.AI and the Technical University of Darmstadt (TU Darmstadt) to gain valuable insights into artificial intelligence (AI) research activities.

After a warm welcome from hessian.AI CEO Wolfgang Heenes, Simon Schampijer introduced the AI Innovation Lab, which impressed the Brazilian delegation. They were particularly captivated by the AI demonstrator “Alfie,” which communicated in Portuguese using Occiglot, showcasing its ability to interact in multiple European languages.

Dr. Sergey Sukhanov presented the startup FlyPix AI, and co-director Mira Mezini followed with an overview of the vision and goals of hessian.AI.

A lively discussion ensued, covering crucial topics such as the AI Lab’s advisory services for public institutions and the need for responsible and transparent AI solutions.
