With the Open Idea Competition, we want to motivate potential founders and those interested in founding a company to develop and advance innovative and AI-based product or business ideas or research results.
After a multi-stage selection process, the best ideas are awarded and presented to representatives from business and politics at an award ceremony. All participants receive feedback on their ideas. The winners also receive prize money in the form of non-cash benefits.
The Open Idea Competition 2022 was running from March to May. Read more about the winners here:
The Startup Competition focuses on early-stage startups who are incorporated and those on their way to do so. Participants receive extensive support in a 3-month preparation phase, such as access to the AI Entrepreneurship Academy, expert workshops, coaching, assistance for applying to further funding instruments or acquiring private funds and technological support in the use or development of AI technologies.
The winners of the startup competition are selected by a jury of experts from companies and potential financiers. The best applications also have the opportunity to join the Ignition incubator program.
The current Startup Competition runs from end of November 2022 until mid of February 2023.
The goal of the Industry Challenges is to develop innovations over a short period of time in such a way that a clean value proposition is set. According to agile principles users will be involved as early as possible in the development phase.
The host companies alternately present concrete problems to solve or support the challenge participants with industry and user expertise to validate and refine initial ideas.
The topic of our current Industry Challenge is Energy Forecasting:
