From Lean AI Startup Funding to Enterprise Success: CloudMent Secures Major Enterprise Contract
CloudMent, an AI startup and alumnus of hessian.AI’s entrepreneurship programs, has reached an important milestone: after a 2.5-year pilot phase and an additional eleven-month procurement process, founder Hamed Roknizadeh successfully secured a strategic six-figure annual recurring revenue (ARR) contract with a leading European cloud provider.
CloudMent is an AI-powered cloud advisory platform for the sovereign cloud, helping companies move their workloads from US hyperscalers to European cloud providers. At its core, the platform combines a curated knowledge graph of cloud services, providers, and their capabilities with artificial intelligence and hands-on cloud engineering expertise. This enables solution architects, executives, and operations managers to make well-founded decisions and design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures throughout their cloud journey.
For Hamed, the contract marks a decisive step forward. As a bootstrapped solo founder, securing a long-term enterprise customer provides the stability needed to continue building and growing the company without external investment.
The journey began with an idea that was first developed as part of the Lean AI Startup Funding (LAISF) by hessian.AI. The six-month funding program gave Hamed the opportunity to transform an initial concept into a structured startup project. Building on this foundation, he continued his entrepreneurial journey through AI Startup Rising’s IGNITION incubator, where he further refined his business model and prepared for enterprise customers.
