The Hessian Centre for Artificial Intelligence (hessian.AI), which is currently being established and is funded by the State of Hesse, is intended to provide excellent basic research, concrete practical relevance with answers to important challenges of our time and transfer to the economy and society. The centre, which is supported by 13 Hessian universities, combines the existing strengths in Hessian AI research and expands them through new professorships and offerings to strengthen the AI innovation ecosystem.

The hessian.AI office, which is located at the TU Darmstadt, has a vacancy for the position of

Project Manager (f/m/d) – Eurpoean Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH)

initially limited until 31.01.2026.

The EU-funded EDIH project aims to improve the digital maturity of small and medium-sized enterprises and the public sector in southern Hesse through a wide range of measures. The partners involved in the project (House of Digital Transformation, TechQuartier, Fraunhofer SIT, GSI and Mittelstand Digitalzentrum and hessian.AI) contribute their expertise in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, High Performance Computing and Advanced Digital Skills to create sustainable solutions and practical support to strengthen Hessen’s retail, logistics/mobility, construction/facility management and public sectors.

The applicant is responsible for the implementation of the offers in the Hub together with the colleagues of the partners involved in EDIH, with a focus on training and further education in the field of AI.
