Lukas Kaupp is a lecturer, research associate, coordinator of the research center of applied computer science, and research consultant for hessian.AI at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, as a Ph.D. candidate, he is pursuing his Ph.D. as one of the first Ph.D. candidates in the Hesse-PhD-Center for Computer Science. His research focuses on fault diagnosis in cyber-physical systems in Industry 4.0/5.0-based smart factories. He serves as a reviewer for Big Data Research, IEEE Information Visualisation (also as a PC Member), the International Conference on Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing, and others with his expertise.
He contributed international articles and book chapters on visual analytics, outlier detection, and machine learning to support the human-in-the-loop in fault diagnosis. A professional is a valuable source of expertise and should be supported to be able to excel in the new processes under Industry 4.0/5.0.
