Florian Heinrichs

Prof. Dr. Florian Heinrichs has been working at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences since October 2023. Previously, as Chief Data Scientist at SNAP GmbH in Bochum, he was significantly involved in the development of AI-based software and led research activities in the area of brain-computer interfaces suitable for everyday use.

Florian Heinrichs studied mathematics at the Ruhr University Bochum and the Universitat de Barcelona. Afterwards, he also received his PhD in statistics from Bochum. In addition, he spent a one-year research stay at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

His research interests span the areas of machine learning, analysis of time series and functional data, and the development of brain-computer interfaces.
