
AI Startup Rising Co-Lead Tobias Kehl appointed to the AI Advisory Board of the Hessian Ministry of Justice
Tobias Kehl, Co-Project Manager of AI Startup Rising at http://hessian.AI , has been appointed to the advisory board of the newly founded Forum KI of the Hessian Ministry of Justice and the Rule of Law. This appointment underlines the growing importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in the justice system and the leading role that http://hessian.AI and its employees play in this area.
AI Startup Rising: drivers of AI innovation in Hesse
Tobias Kehl has been leading the EXIST-funded AI Startup Rising project at http://hessian.AI , the Hessian Center for Artificial Intelligence, for over three years. AI Startup Rising is a strategic initiative that aims to promote the growth of AI startups and establish a central platform for AI startups in Hesse. In the three years since its inception, the project has already supported over 150 AI start-ups in Hesse. Tobias Kehl particularly emphasizes the creation of an internationally visible AI hub:
“Our goal at AI Startup Rising is to build an internationally visible AI innovation ecosystem that uses the region’s cutting-edge AI research as a source for sustainably successful high-tech and deep-tech startups,” explains Kehl. “We not only want to produce successful start-ups, but also act as a magnet for talent, investors and companies.”
Forum KI: Advancing AI in the justice system
The Forum KI, founded by the Hessian Ministry of Justice and the Rule of Law, is a think tank that focuses on the possibilities of using AI in the justice system.
It organizes regular innovation workshops to discuss and develop proposals from different perspectives and promotes the exchange between science, the legal profession and companies. Other members of the AI Advisory Board are Prof. Dr. Florian Möslein, Prof. Dr. Dr. Frauke Rostalski, Henrik Wehrs, Dr. Benno Quade and Minister Prof. Dr. Kristina Sinemus.
Commenting on his appointment to the advisory board of Forum KI, Tobias Kehl says: “I am very much looking forward to working together and exchanging ideas on the advisory board of Forum KI. I would like to contribute my experience from the start-up world and AI research in order to develop innovative solutions for a more efficient and accessible justice system.
