The Geo Engine is a cloud-enabled data science platform for processing spatio-temporal data. The results of workflows can be accessed via interfaces and used for machine learning. It enables the implementation of interactive dashboards and analyses.
The Geo Engine has a unique processing model with time as a native dimension and is dimension and is designed for big data by processing data in a stream-based processing. Results can be fed into AI frameworks, used for training and the models and the models can then be used again as operators.
The idea originated in the database systems working group at the University of Marburg, because the analysis of geodata time series in research projects proved to be time-consuming and challenging. The development of the Geo Engine as an efficient and sustainable solution required a new development from scratch.
A wide range of industries benefit from geodata services, with a growing demand across demand across sectors such as transportation, logistics, insurance, agriculture, forestry and energy, forestry and the energy industry. Demand is increasing due to new compliance requirements for environmental, climate and biodiversity protection, as geo-referenced information for monitoring services and analyses is becoming important.
Through the distribution of our in-house developed Toolbox Geo Engine, we want to convince a growing number of customers of our scalable and robust geodata infrastructure. At the same time, we are looking for investors to resources for development.
These research data are mostly georeferenced data time series, the use of which are associated with high costs. The removal of barriers to their use in business processes is a key guiding principle of our development work and is closely linked to efforts in digitization processes.
With the support of the experienced coaches, we were able to sharpen our customer approach and develop a multi-stage sales concept. The insights into the “Sales Playbook” regularly provide us with valuable orientation for the implementation of the jointly developed project orientation.
