AI and the Future of Medicine: humans, machines, ethics

An event organized by the Protestant Academy Frankfurt in cooperation with hessian.AI

Lecture and discussion

The use of artificial intelligence is profoundly transforming everyday medical practice. From diagnostic imaging to robotic assistance and treatment documentation—AI can be applied in nearly every field. This raises important questions: How does the interaction between humans and machines change established diagnostic and treatment procedures? What skills do medical professionals need? And according to which ethical criteria must the use of AI be regulated for the benefit of patients? On this evening, we will examine current research on human-machine interaction in the field of medicine, hear the perspective of the developers of the first medical AI co-pilot approved in Germany, and, together with guests from the fields of ethics and clinical practice, take a look at the present and future of AI in medicine.
