Mert Tiftikci

I am a doctoral researcher at the Technical University of Darmstadt at Software Technologies Group. There, I am taking teaching responsibilities in courses and seminars as well as supervising undergrad and master students. I have worked on natural language processing (NLP) projects in the bioinformatic field. I have also worked on image generation and editing with textual input to make such multimodal models better steerable and explainable.Currently, I am investigating generative models for code. This involves investigating their limitations and improving them using multimodal techniques where I can utilize my previous experiences with NLP and vision-language models.
