My research concerns visual perception – understanding the world through intelligent inference from visual inputs. My primary focus is understanding visual perception in humans, and we employ both psychophysics (behavioural experiments and eye tracking) and also computational models to this end. I have a secondary interest in artificial vision systems, in particular with comparing their inferences to those of humans to better understand both systems.
