The Frankfurt-based AI startup ScavengerAI, an alumnus of the hessian.AI accelerator program RISING, has secured €2.5 million in seed funding to make business data as easy to access as asking a question. The round was led by BMH Beteiligungs-Managementgesellschaft Hessen mbH (BMH), with participation from High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Calm/Storm Ventures, xdeck, and a public innovation grant.
ScavengerAI builds an AI-powered tool that allows any employee to query company data in natural language — no coding or analytics skills required. Targeting Europe’s small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs), the company aims to close the 70% business intelligence gap by making data accessible, transparent, and GDPR-compliant.
“Our goal is simple: any employee should be able to make smart, data-driven decisions without needing to write a single line of code,” says co-founder Maximilian Hahnenkamp. “We are the European counter-model to the U.S. tech companies. Europe’s SMEs deserve AI that’s secure, explainable, and built around their needs, not a black box,” adds co-founder Felix Beissel.
The fresh funding will accelerate product development, drive European expansion, and open up a €2.45 billion market opportunity. Already, companies such as Telekom, Mann & Schröder, and Wangen Pumpen rely on ScavengerAI to unlock actionable insights across departments like finance, operations, and sales.
